The Line 6 Spider Valve 112 combines modelling flexibility with valve amp performance in a 40-watt 1x12-inch combo! A Line 6 combo amp with Power and Standby switches! Modelling with valves, not modelling valves!

Not a hybrid valve / transistor guitar amp, the Line 6 Spider Valve 112 combo is a true valve amp, designed by Reinhold Bogner, the Hollywood boutique high-gain valve amp guru. The Spider Valve 112 gives you the complete valve amp experience, from the rich harmonics, to the feel and responsiveness of power valves. The Spider Valve 112 front end is Line 6 up to the dual cascading preamp valves, then it's all valve with two 12AX7 preamp valves and two 6L6 output valves. Line 6 add their front end modelling magic with 12 amp models delivering different channel voices covering the complete tonal range from clean to crunched, 7 SmartControl Effects, and more than 300 Artist and Song presets covering some of rock's greatest guitar tones.

A six-position rotary switch selects amp models: Clean, Twang, Blues, Crunch, Metal and Insane with 2-voicings for each model. With Line 6's revolutionary Smart Control 7 different effect types built into the Spider Valve 112 including, Phaser, Chorus, Flanger, Tremolo, Sweep Echo, Tape Echo, Multi-Tap Delay, Tape Echo and Reverb, you'll always have the right tone. Plus, with the award-winning POD cab modeling Headphone/Direct out, you can take your sound from the practice room to the studio. Features also include a footswitch jack that's compatible with the FBV2, FBV Express, and FBV Shortboard foot controllers for channel switching, tap tempo, effects on/off control, wah/volume pedals, access to 32 more channel memories, and tuner capabilities.

Plug the output of a Line 6 POD into the dedicated power amp input jack on the back of the Spider Valve 112 combo and bypass the Spider Valve modeling but still use the Bogner valve amplification including the 12AX7 preamp valves, matched 6L6 power amp valves, Master, and Presence controls. It sounds awesome. A POD 2.0 XLR modeling balanced Direct output lets you easily connect your Spider Valve 112 to a mixer or recording interface to capture your riffs. A pre-valve amp Preamp Out effects send can feed outboard effects or a second amplifier. The Power Amp In can then function as a ”series effects return“.

CLEAN: Crisp clean, warm jazz and all the high-end shimmer an loads of bottom end.
GLASSY: Classic late-’60s and early-’70s clean tones, based on a 1973 Hiwatt Custom 100 with extended tone control range and tightened up low end.
TWANG: Based on a mid-60’s Fender amps, including the blackface ’65 Twin Reverb and blackface ’64 Deluxe Reverb for an Amp Model that has vintage glassy high-end tone with some extra snap and bite.
TWIN TWANG: Based on a number of vintage tweed amps: a ’53 Fender tweed Deluxe Reverb, ’58 Fender tweed Bassman and a ’60 Gibson Explorer to create a swingin’ Rockabilly tone.
BLUES: Based on a mix of a ’65 Marshall JTM-45, a ’58 Fender Bassman, a ’63 Fender Vibroverb and a Supro, this Amp Model offers gritty, swamp-infected cleans to syrupy smooth, walloping drive tones.
BLUES CLASS A: Based on a fawn Vox AC-30 amplifier with an updated and expanded tone control circuit. Early British pop rock tone made famous by the Beatles and the Stones.
CRUNCH: Derived from listening to the '68 Marshall Plexi 50 Watt as used by a number of early metal bands. Crunch provides a wider range of tone control settings than the original Marshall amp.
CRUNCH ON FIRE: Based on a 1968 Marshall Plexi 100 watt with a few extras: the combination of a Variac and the jumped input channels creates that infamous brown sound.
METAL: Based on the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier for a tight and punchy high-gain metal sound.
METAL SPINAL PUPPET: An aggressive high-gain Amp Model with a unique Mid control that will sweep though an entire spectrum of tone on one knob. The Mid knob for this Amp Model changes the character of the distortion. When set to minimum, the distortion exhibits Fuzz pedal characteristics. When the Mid is set to noon, it mimics the creamy modern high-gain amp tones. And when the Mid knob is turned up to max, it’s very much reminiscent of that Class A sound.
INSANE: ”Dialed in for shredding“ version based on the Mesa/Boogie Dual Rectifier red channel with the intensity and impact of Metal Amber, but more midrange and teeth for that bone-crushing, brain piercing insane grind.
INSANE EIGHTIES SOLO: As much input gain distortion as possible short of complete meltdown for an obscene helping of distortion, while still retaining tonal definition and character.
